An intimate evening at World’s End Studios

On 28 October 2025, Gallery Les Bois presented Nature, Material and Transformation at World’s End Studios in Chelsea. The resulting works balance organic structure with an almost cosmic sense of scale. Their beauty is inseparable from the environmental processes and material innovation that inform them.

Julian Emsley: wood, form and transformation

Julian Emsley’s wood sculptures and vessel-like forms brought a quiet physical presence to the exhibition. His practice is grounded in close attention to material, surface and the inherent character of wood, allowing natural form and the artist’s intervention to remain visibly connected.

Caitlin Heffernan: intuition, perception and the natural world

Caitlin Heffernan’s intuitive painting and mixed-media practice added a more personal and perceptual dimension to the exhibition. Her work considers the human relationship with nature through layered colour, gesture and a distinctive visual language shaped by observation and feeling.
