John Sabraw is an artist, environmentalist, and educator known for transforming pollution into vibrant works of art. Born in Lakenheath, England, he serves as a Professor of Art at Ohio University, where he chairs the Painting + Drawing program. Sabraw collaborates with scientists to extract iron oxide from polluted streams, using it to create pigments for his paintings. His work is featured in collections such as the Museum of Contemporary Art in Honolulu and the Elmhurst Museum in Illinois.
