LAURINE MALENGREAU IS AN ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS ARTIST
"Working with colours is, for me, an inner vibration and an endless initiation."
Laurine Malengreau has been based in Aubusson, the tapestry capital of France, for over thirteen years. After completing studies in art history, Laurine began her training on the Nuno Silk technique in Madrid. She is a winner of the 'Artisan Innovator' prize in 2020 for being the only artist to offer large-format Nuno Silk works. Malengreau continues the great tradition of wall hangings to the delight of art collectors and interior designers worldwide.
Creating textile paintings with hands full of silk and wool, and layering these materials, giving them a particular strength, brings her a primal joy. By extension, she is intimately convinced that art expands the good and the beautiful.
In search of vital momentum, she crafts bold and shimmering works, infused with organic accents and chimerical roots.
Works that speak to you.
