TREEHOUSE HOTEL MANCHESTER PARTNERS WITH GALLERY LES BOIS FOR INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

About Manchester, February 18, 2026
This March, Treehouse Hotel Manchester partners with sustainability-led contemporary art gallery, Gallery Les Bois, to present a month-long exhibition celebrating International Women's Day and the women reshaping the future of contemporary art.

Opening to the public from Thursday, 5th March until Sunday, 29th March, the showcase will transform the hotel's striking ground floor into an immersive gallery space. Works will be displayed throughout the lobby and within Pip, the hotel's restaurant guided by acclaimed chef Mary-Ellen McTague - reinforcing a shared commitment to championing female leadership across hospitality and the arts.
Curated by Gallery Les Bois, London's first sustainability-led contemporary art gallery, the exhibition foregrounds female artists whose practices engage directly with sustainability, material ethics and cultural transformation. Working across fibre art, sculpture, painting and mixed media, the artists transform reclaimed textiles, natural fibres and responsibly sourced materials into conceptually rigorous works that challenge traditional ideas of permanence, value and consumption.
Featured Artists:
Sienna Martz - Internationally recognised sculptor and fibre artist working with plant fibres and recycled materials.
Saskia Saunders - British fine artist creating ethereal handwoven works using linen, hemp and paper yarn.
Miranda Carter - UK-based painter exploring sublime landscapes through recycled and responsibly sourced materials.
Sandra Junele - Dundee-based textile artist transforming recycled yarn waste into sculptural installations.
Caitlin Heffernan - Environmentally conscious painter examining renewal and ecological interconnectedness.

Together, the works create a dialogue between material, ecology and artistic innovation - reflecting the evolving role of sustainability in contemporary art.
Commenting on the collaboration, Claire-Julia Hill, Director at Gallery Les Bois, said: "This exhibition brings together a generation of female artists redefining contemporary art through sustainability and material innovation. International Women's Day offers an important moment to recognise not only their creative contributions, but the leadership of women shaping a more responsible and forward-thinking cultural future."
The partnership highlights Treehouse Hotel Manchester's role as a vibrant cultural hub within the city, a place where creativity, community and curiosity intersect, while aligning with Gallery Les Bois' mission to champion artists contributing to a more sustainable and engaged art world.
