Aftermath (2025) is a large-scale abstract painting by Caitlin Heffernan, made with pigments and acrylic on canvas. Across a luminous cream ground, fine looping marks, feathered strokes and softly rubbed passages gather in charcoal, umber, yellow, green and pale blue. Dense clusters periodically open into quieter areas, creating a shifting rhythm across the surface. The combination of translucent colour and restless linear movement gives the composition an atmospheric, suspended quality.
