A group exhibition shaped by water

Gallery Les Bois presented Into the Blue, a group exhibition featuring works by Caitlin Heffernan, Michelle Gagliano and Miranda Carter. Held from 4 to 28 June 2026 at our showroom within World’s End Studios, the exhibition brought together three distinctive artistic voices connected by a shared fascination with water, landscape and our relationship with the natural world.

Water has long occupied a central place within artistic practice. It is both subject and symbol: a source of life, a force of change and a powerful reminder of humanity’s connection to the wider environment. In Into the Blue, these themes were explored through works inviting reflection on the beauty, fragility and enduring significance of the world’s oceans, rivers and waterways.

Caitlin Heffernan: movement and atmosphere

Caitlin Heffernan’s evocative works capture the movement and energy of water through layered compositions that balance abstraction with a strong sense of place. Her practice reflects a deep engagement with natural environments, creating paintings that encourage viewers to pause and consider the landscapes that inspire them.

Michelle Gagliano: memory and sensory experience
