Gallery Les Bois and Founder Claire-Julia Hill Shortlisted for Women in Green Business Awards 2026
June 22, 2026
Gallery Les Bois is delighted to announce that both the Gallery and its Founder and Director, Claire-Julia Hill, have been shortlisted for the prestigious Women in Green Business Awards 2026.
The Gallery has been shortlisted in the Business of the Year category, whilst Claire-Julia Hill has been recognised in the Entrepreneur category. The dual recognition follows an earlier nomination and reflects the growing impact of Gallery Les Bois' unique approach to combining artistic excellence with sustainability-led cultural leadership.
Hosted by BusinessGreen, the Women in Green Business Awards celebrate the women, organisations and businesses helping to shape the UK's green economy whilst driving innovation, leadership and positive environmental change across a wide range of sectors. The awards recognise individuals and organisations that are demonstrating excellence in sustainability, entrepreneurship and responsible business practices.
For Gallery Les Bois, the shortlist recognition represents an important milestone in the Gallery's ongoing mission to champion artists whose work contributes to a more thoughtful relationship between humanity, creativity and the natural world.
Founded by Claire-Julia Hill, Gallery Les Bois was established with a vision to create a new model for contemporary art-one that places sustainability, cultural stewardship and artistic excellence at its heart. Through exhibitions, artist representation, collector engagement and strategic partnerships, the Gallery has sought to demonstrate that environmental responsibility and commercial success are not competing ambitions but complementary ones.
Over recent years, Gallery Les Bois has developed a distinctive programme that brings together artists working across a range of sustainability-related themes and practices. From material innovation and environmental restoration to ecological awareness and cultural storytelling, the Gallery's artists reflect a broad and nuanced understanding of what sustainable contemporary art can be.
The Business of the Year shortlist acknowledges not only the Gallery's commercial development but also its commitment to building a platform that supports artists, engages collectors and contributes positively to wider cultural and environmental conversations.
Claire-Julia Hill's Entrepreneur shortlist recognises her leadership in creating and growing Gallery Les Bois, as well as her wider contribution to sustainability-led cultural innovation. Through a combination of entrepreneurial vision, strategic partnerships and a commitment to long-term impact, she has worked to establish Gallery Les Bois as a distinctive voice within both the contemporary art and sustainability sectors.
Commenting on the announcement, Claire-Julia said:
"We are incredibly honoured to be shortlisted in these categories. Gallery Les Bois was founded on the belief that contemporary art can play an important role in shaping a more thoughtful and sustainable future. To see both the Gallery and our work recognised by the Women in Green Business Awards is a wonderful endorsement of that vision and of the artists, collectors, partners and supporters who have been part of the journey."
As Gallery Les Bois continues to expand its programme of exhibitions, partnerships and artist initiatives, the shortlist recognition provides further encouragement that sustainability and culture can work together to create meaningful and lasting impact.
The winners of the Women in Green Business Awards 2026 will be announced later this year.
Gallery Les Bois would like to congratulate all fellow finalists and thank the Women in Green Business Awards judging panel for their recognition and support.
